ADCREW proudly announces its role as the first organization in Asia to endorse and co-host the Global NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases) Prevention Week — a world-scale public health event held just once every 10 years.
We are immensely proud to announce: ADCREW is honored to be the first organization in Asia to endorse and co-host the Global NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases) Prevention Week, a monumental event that occurs only once every 10 years.
This marks a historic milestone, underscoring ADCREW's strong commitment to combating non-communicable diseases such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and chronic respiratory diseases – which are the leading causes of death and reduced quality of life worldwide.
Our involvement in this international-scale event not only solidifies ADCREW's pioneering role in Vietnam and across Asia but also helps to amplify awareness and encourage tangible actions for healthier communities.
Vietnam – Taking place from September 24-27, 2025, at SECC, Ho Chi Minh City, the NCDs 20+1 Session is a key event of the year in the healthcare and community sector. It marks the strategic convergence of three significant milestones:
The NCDs 20+1 Session is a key activity within the national initiative, with the following objectives:
These conditions are the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, and ADCREW’s pioneering role sets the stage for transformative action in Asia.
Ms. Ngoc Dinh – PPP-P+ Manager, shared: "For nearly two decades, the PPP-P+ Ecosystem has been steadfast in its mission to improve community health through responsible communication, building trust and deep understanding from the people. Entering a new era, we believe that integrating responsible AI will be a powerful driving force, helping to accelerate the realization of national health goals. Our core principle remains unchanged: always putting people at the center of all solutions, ensuring technology and communication serve people in the most humane and effective way."
The forum offers a comprehensive view of applying modern technology, especially AI in preventive medicine, while emphasizing the human element, community, and local culture as the foundation for all sustainable healthcare solutions.
More than just a technology forum, NCDs 20+1 is a place to jointly answer a core question:
How can Artificial Intelligence (AI) be applied in healthcare in a non- шаблон, but in a way that is appropriate for people – each individual – each community – each culture?
The forum provides a comprehensive perspective on combining AI with responsible communication, community health data, and socio-cultural characteristics, especially in the Asian context, where family, collective, and trust play a central role in healthcare behavior.
Therefore, AI needs not only to be "smart" but also "appropriate" and "understand Vietnamese people" – thereby creating personalized solutions that are not individualistic, modern yet community-connected, and transform healthcare in a humane and sustainable way.
Ms. Nguyen Tuong Vi – Co-founder of the Vietnam Community Project Board, co-organizer of the NCDs 20+1 Session, shared:
"We believe that technology is truly meaningful only when it serves people profoundly, with understanding and responsibility. AI in healthcare is not just a tool – it must be a bridge between data and human hearts, between treatment and prevention, between personalization and communalization. With the NCDs 20+1 Session, we are not just aiming for numbers like 1 million people screened or 20 million people accessed information – but more importantly, to inspire everyone to become an NCD prevention warrior. Because when each individual is healthy, the family will be happy, the community will be stable – and conversely, a healthy community is also the foundation for everyone to live healthily and meaningfully."

According to the Ministry of Health, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) currently account for over 77% of the mortality burden in Vietnam. Early prevention, timely screening, and health behavior changes will help save tens of trillions of VND in healthcare costs each year, while contributing to building a healthy and sustainably developing Vietnam by 2045.
